I know, I know! I haven't posted anything in this blog for sooooo long. And it should be just as easy as writing an email. I just need to get back into the hang of it.

I do, however, still think about the types of things I could post in here. And all the photos I would attach. I lost a little momentum when I couldn't figure out how to post up multiple photos in one post. That was just stupid of me... how could something so trivial hold me back?

Anyway, here is something I wrote on the first day of my director visits:

Just arrived in Hamilton. Thought I'd take some time to write down some of my thoughts of the past month.

It's sure been an interesting one!

After July forum and lots of half sad and half excited (because they were doing some exciting things!!) goodbyes to the old Member Committee, it took aout a week to settle down into the flat with my new flat mates. The only things left to tidy are a few bags of old clothes, a pile of old bed sheets and a couple of random pairs of shoes.

After the first day of initial cleaning we could hardly recognise the place!

Then Vaish and I got our room. We wiped it inside and out and then climbed out the windown to enjoy the magnificent view from our room.

Every now and then I sit down in the lounge and listen to the walls. These walls which hold four years of AIESEC MC history! It's fun :) sometimes, we still find old post cards addressed to the old teams and letters in the mailbox addressed to Judit! It's almost like there are more than five people living here.

Trying to work on AIESEC work was hampered in the first week and a half due to a series of unforeseen events. Terrible things seem to come in threes. 1. Server broke, 2. Telecom disconnects the office phone, 3. modem breaks. One thing after another and we were relegated to the confines of our house and dial-up connection...

Ryan was probably the hero at the end of the day. He didn't fight with us (too much) over the internet and let us do our work while his list of emails grew longer and longer... and then he spent time trying to fix the server! He's now a computer geek. In return, we worked our butts off helping the LCs raise exchange, doing ER work, fixing the finances (argh!), organising conferences and preparing for director visits.

Speaking of which brings me back to why I've just arrived in Hamilton. The beginning of my journey around the country. I'm going to every LC, experiencing their unique cultures and ensuring we pull off an awesome recruitment.

Now I'm back!

I've got lots of photos which I will show in my next post :)

Looks like you have "my" old room! (and Gitti's)
Gosh, your photos brought back memories!
Take care of this place - the spirit (ghost???:P) of me should be somewhere there as well:D

Gosh,

Just saw this pic about the MC flat, and thousands of memories came to my mind...

Have a wonderful time there, and keep all my 'loveletters' coming still along to Kelburn 100 :-).
