Free the body and the mind will follow...
The girls joined the gym. Les Mills to be precise and then a week later they convinced me to join as well! So now we're going to Les Mills about three to four times a week to work out and attend the group workout classes. There are so many kinds! BodyCombat (like Taibo), BodyPump (with weights) and BodyBalance (a mixture of yoga, tai chi and pilates) are the ones that I've tried out so far.
BodyCombat and BodyBalance, I will definitely continue doing. I'll need to draw up a timetable to see where I can fit in a good BodyPump class as well. The classes keep me going for the whole hour because they're interesting, fun and there's music. The instructors keep you going and the movements are really intensive if you want them to be. I don't think I would be able to keep up gym for long if I was just working out normally.
Vaish and I looked in the mirror this morning, we already notice a difference! My stomach is flat and I already felt muscles in my arms after a couple of good, hard workouts.
Exercise is so good for relieving stress. And I didn't really mind the pain after the first couple of classes, cos my muscles were just being rediscovered again. I think from past experience, the pain goes away eventually and you just get results!
So if you're thinking about taking on a new skill or just being healthier, joining the gym is a good idea! Of course there is a cost to it but hopefully my new job will be able to pay for it ;)

Amy, I think I found a better way to get fit rather than spending heaps to les mills. Go to your nearest swimming pool and do an AquaJog.Low impact jogging that is fun and sweat-less (you're imersed in the water anyway LOL). Well, I think swimming in general will burn a lot more calories -- my arms and legs are all aching after 4 hours of swimming.. geez!
hey amy looks I'll be seeing ya at les mills then...gotta un-suspend my 3 year gym membership when I get back!
waaaatcha! wooh body combat!!!
Adi, we're still holding on strong!!
Hey Jill! Nice to see you blogging :)
I try to go swimming in the weekends too but four hours is too much! =P you'll be a prune.
Woohoo see you at the gym when you get back, Tee!
Wow girls, well done. Keep the spirit!
