Tough Decisions...
I remember when I was young the toughest decisions I ever had to make was what I should wear the next day; whether I should go to a party or stay at home and study for an exam... oh that one could keep you up all night.
These days we have to make decisions in a structured way, in a way that will be the most beneficial in the long run. Choosing where you live, choosing who to be with, choosing... These decisions will determine your life forever, determine other people's lives forever. What if I had done this? What if I had chosen that? Would life be different? Would things have turned out better...
What's more difficult than making a tough decision? Living with it, without regret. If you can't live without regret, you wouldn't want to make any more decisions.
So in order to keep making my tough decisions, I must live without regret every day.

Thats pretty insightful. Keep in mind, regret can also be lessons that life is trying to teach you something.
If we don't have regrets, I wonder how we will grow as a person?
there are lessons to be learned from the consequences of your decisions - I agree, that's how you learn and grow. however, to regret is to dwell on something you cannot change.
Hehe, here goes my first comment on your blog, probably first comment on anyone's blog! I think you're absolutely right, we should live without regrets. It's pretty hard sometimes though, especially when you think you've made a terrible mistake, and that things can ONLY be better if you didn't make that mistake. But maybe it's not always that simple, perhaps sometimes we ought to believe that things happen for a reason, even if you can't see that yet. All we can do is to always try and do the right thing, and hope for the best. :)
hey tsukue hahaha what a cool name for yourself! thanks for the comment - i am honoured to be the first blog you've commented on! - love mado
