Wellington on a sunny day...

Wellington is one of those places that can be a tourist destination even for its inhabitants. If you look carefully, there are so many beautiful things to see. So much to learn. I found out that most of the random sculptures scattered around were endorsed by a man called Ian Prior and his wife. He had a vision for Wellington, which he worked hard to realise and it came true. The City Gallery is filled with amazing pieces of art work that could mesmerise me for hours.
This exploration of Wellington found me on top of the big "taniwha" near Civic Square taking photos above the motorway. How dangerous! My hat almost flew off. Then in the afternoon I met up with Nikita to have lunch at HK BBQ (Cantonese food! Oh how I miss) and tea at Katipo - that's her in the top right hand corner.
The week before, I also went to the Wellington Museum of City and Sea with Kristi and Simone. More photos later.
