It's official...

MC 05-06 has now been instated.

And I'm sitting here at 8:44am wondering what I should do with my mornings before I go off to my part-time job. Tomorrow, I have no work so I'll go to the office early.

But I need to make sure I'm using this time productively...

Productivity seems to be an important part of my thought process at the moment. It seems everything I do, how I plan my day, I want to make sure I'm using the most of it to do work... :S is there something wrong with me?? Perhaps I'm still taking time to adjust. Or I'm afraid that I will waste this one year I've been given to do a good job on the AIESEC in NZ MC.

Whatever it is I need to find a life outside too! I can't wait until July Forum when my last box of home stuff arrives with the Waikato delegation. I'll have my Chinese writing books, my Japanese language books and some other books.

Oh yes, I've been thinking about some things I could start doing in my spare time. Things I haven't done since I joined AIESEC really... which is not good. We should not put our leisure time on hold for too long or we lose our other talents and interests and we're not whole any more.

Maybe I could...
  • Learn how to play a musical instrument
  • Learn how to dance
  • Go to lots of foreign movies
  • Read lots of interesting books
  • Join a club! =P

cake baking as therapy?

i think if that was actually true, my flatmates would be very happy and also very overweight because baking is quite fattening. haha.

but yes today i thought it was quite enjoyable... as i told one of my friends "oh i baked a cake today, it was almost theraputic in a way that i didn't need to think about anything apart from butter, sugar and flour... and it brought memories from home when i used to bake... ".

so there it is. bake for peace of mind from all troubles of life.

i think yat wan has a photo of my cake and so does adi.

we were also late to the airport today because the shuttle that picked us up was late and then he got lost and it was just a mess! harmandeep missed his first plane so we waited with him for the next one. in a way it was good because we got to spend a little bit more time with him.

sitting around a table at the airport like that talking about when each member of team is going to get married and reunions of past teams made me think of what it would be like in a couple of years to remember that moment in time. the time when everyone sat around that table predicting our futures (or for some of us, that is ryan, placing bets). our table of people from all different nations joined by a common dedication for AIESEC. how this organisation was able to bring us together and at the same time break us apart.

need to post

sleepy thinks i should post something because it's been soooo long. well let's see i baked a cake this morning! it looks quite good and muffy and HD have both asked whether they can eat it already. the thing is...the cake is still in the tin!

can you imagine a hungry guy eating cake straight from the tin? hmm :S

while sleepy writes her essay, i sit here and post on my blog. she's a little miffed that i get the time to do it hehe. ryan is finishing his exams and fifi (vaishali) is at NZIS twiddling her fingers in the line probably. gosh why do people have to wait so long in those lines? it's so infuriating...

oh yeah i was supposed to post photos but due to a dial-up connection at home, i am unable to do so. i want broadband. i should start a campaign to get broadband at home.

poll:
which one do you prefer?
a) sky tv with sport
b) unlimited broadband internet

About Me

Hey! I've got a blog on Nomadlife :) yay
whoops got a session now. better come back later. But Adi, this is for you!

Okay I'm back now and I can write a proper post on here now.

Let's see... About me.

My name is Amy Lily Su and I am 21 years old. Born in Honduras to Chinese parents originally from Guangzhou. I moved to Hong Kong for two years when I was three years old and then to New Zealand (NZ) when I was five. I have been brought up in New Zealand for the past 16 years - primary school, intermediate school, high school and university.

During these 16 years I have always lived in a small city (city by NZ standards) called Hamilton. It's a great place with a beautiful river and nice restaurants.

I was a sweet and innocent young girl living in this quiet and serene city until one day I went to university and was dragged along by one of my friends to an information session for AIESEC.

Three years - one year member, one LCVP term, one LCP term later...

To be continued...

well i've got some time to continue this now. let's see where i'm up to. ah yes, one LCP term later... i am now on the national team MCVP XPD. we have been through one month of transition. i'd have to describe it as a funfilled adventure! we get to see sleepy every weekend! we play games, pick on each other i get picked on, the guys get tickled and...and... argh! it's probably easier to describe in photos so i will post lots of photos in the next post.
