Smell of roast chicken, herb potatos and a research report

Mmmm roast chicken. I've never roasted a chicken before - I've roasted turkeys in an oven bag for Christmas but never a chicken. Well today is my chance! And it's not that difficult, although it is time consuming. Have to check and baste the thing every 15 minutes! But it's looking nice... mmm with the potatos around it.At the same time, I'm starting my direct marketing research report. I got the job!! It's worth a bit of money and I can work from home. The office is all the way out in Petone so I don't think I want to go out there unless absolutely necessary. It's for 10 weeks fixed contract and if I do well I get a bonus. Fits nicely in with my AIESEC work schedule.

Oh, we've got Nikita staying for ten days. This should be fun hehe, no longer have to be in the office alone. Although it's going to be a busy week anyway, we've got AIESEC International director Chris Chow coming to visit! And also the local presidents are coming for a three day meeting. Lotsa people in the house!

Free the body and the mind will follow...

The girls joined the gym. Les Mills to be precise and then a week later they convinced me to join as well! So now we're going to Les Mills about three to four times a week to work out and attend the group workout classes. There are so many kinds! BodyCombat (like Taibo), BodyPump (with weights) and BodyBalance (a mixture of yoga, tai chi and pilates) are the ones that I've tried out so far.

BodyCombat and BodyBalance, I will definitely continue doing. I'll need to draw up a timetable to see where I can fit in a good BodyPump class as well. The classes keep me going for the whole hour because they're interesting, fun and there's music. The instructors keep you going and the movements are really intensive if you want them to be. I don't think I would be able to keep up gym for long if I was just working out normally.

Vaish and I looked in the mirror this morning, we already notice a difference! My stomach is flat and I already felt muscles in my arms after a couple of good, hard workouts.

Exercise is so good for relieving stress. And I didn't really mind the pain after the first couple of classes, cos my muscles were just being rediscovered again. I think from past experience, the pain goes away eventually and you just get results!

So if you're thinking about taking on a new skill or just being healthier, joining the gym is a good idea! Of course there is a cost to it but hopefully my new job will be able to pay for it ;)

Diwali Festival:
That night, Ozge, Vaish and I went to the Diwali festival to taste the delights of vegetarian Indian food, feel the bright lights of Diwali and watched the beautiful dancing.

Fireworks on the harbour:
I like this photo, it's got a nice effect created by my hand. They're all watching the fireworks that people were setting off after the fireworks proper. We had a nice chat by the harbour - mostly about Ryan and IC.

Vaishali's New Skirt:
Look at those legs! She's planning to wear that to scare her parents (and Rayan) ;)
